8 month

Another month has past and Kenley is another month older. Kenley continues to develop into a beautiful baby girl. This month she has learned to pull herself up to standing and she even will balance herself for a couple of seconds. I think I might have a walker in the next month. Kenley loves the stairs. Every time I put her down she heads straight for the stairs. She has mastered climbing up the stairs. But hasn't really gotten how to come down the stairs. She fell down the stairs at my sisters house and it scared her big time. Kenley is a big babbler. She says dada, mama and baba and then of course her own babble. She got her first tooth on the bottom and now we are working on the second one. She is such a different teether then Porter. She didn't get a fever or a runny nose. She is just cranky all the time until it finally cuts through the gums, which makes things so much fun for mommy and daddy. Kenley is such a great eater. She will literally eat anything that is put in front of her. I am so happy about that because Porter is a picky, picky eater. Kenley girl is such a cutie pie we just love her a bunch.

Toy Story 3 On Ice

Today I took my sweet boy to Toy Story 3 On Ice. Just mommy and Popo. He had so much fun. He sat there eating his popcorn, drinking his drink and just staring at them skate around. I'm so glad him and I got to have an afternoon together.

Im An Auntie... For The Third Time

My sister Carrie had her baby today. Christian Jahrel Stroshine made his debut at 1:48pm weighing in at 7lbs 1 oz and 19 inches long. Kenley and I are flying to Utah on Monday for five days to be with them. I can't wait to hold him and give him kisses. Until then I'll just stare at his pictures.

My Dad

I just have to brag about my dad. Today he was called to serve as the first counselor in the bishopric of their ward. We were able to be there to hear him get sustained and then set apart. He bore his testimony and it was very heartfelt. His setting apart blessing he received was a very special one as well. I just know that my dad is going to do a great job. I believe this is getting him ready to one day be a bishop. I love my dad a lot and look forward to the changes and blessings he will receive through this calling.

Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving we took a quick trip over to Utah to celebrate with my family. My sister is 8.5 months pregnant and cant travel so we all came to her. Seth's parents decided to go there for Thanksgiving too so we had a chance to spend time and see everyone. We had Thanksgiving dinner at Mimi's Cafe which was good and then we headed over to Fat Cats to bowl. It was a great Thanksgiving glad we were able to make the trip.

Halloween

Halloween was very fun. Porter picked out his costume from my mom's Halloween store. He chose the Woody costume from Toy Story. I chose a Wiggly Worm costume for Kenley. Oh my gosh they were so cute. The weather wasn't terrible so we went trick or treating around our neighborhood. Porter loved ringing the doorbells and then yelling "Trick or Treat". He got a ton of candy. I let him pick out a couple if pieces that he could have for the next few days and then I got rid if the rest without him knowing. He's only three so he doesn't need that much sugar. Porter still wants to wear his costume everyday and he is always asking to go trick or treating. I think he had a lot of fun.

7 months

This is a couple weeks late but our Kenley girl turned seven months on November 12th. Kenley's major accomplishments this months is she started full on crawling, that is three months sooner then Porter started crawling. She gets lots of bumps and bruises trying to get around. Kenley also has started eating the little finger treats. She loves them. Kenley has found that she can make different sounds when she opens and closes her mouth so she does that all the time. We left Kenley for the first time with my sister Kylie and her husband for two days while Seth and I went to Las Vegas for business. I cried so hard when we left because Kenley and I are best friends and she get separation anxiety when I am gone. Or thats what i think happens. She did alright but did wake my sister up several times during the night time. Kenley had her first Halloween experience. We dressed her up as a wiggly worm which is very appropriate for her and she came along as we took Porter trick or treating. Kenley has the biggest yet cutest smile I've ever seen. She also gets a little twinkle in her eye when she smiles. It makes our heart melt.

We love you Kenley girl.

Soccer Reunion

I have a lot of catching up to do so I'll start here. Last night I hosted a Soccer Reunion/ Christmas Party. It was awesome to see everyone. I played soccer with these girls for about 10 years. We had many amazing times together. We won tournaments grew into young women. We learned hard work, comradery, teamwork and discipline. All of these girls have a very special place in my heart and I hope I don't have to go another 10 years before I see them again.

6 months old

Our daughter is a half a year old. Holy Cow! This past month Kenley has just taken off developmentally. She is sitting up all by herself. She rolls around all over the place and lately she has decided to get up on all fours and rocks back and forth. I'm giving her a month before she starts crawling. Which is a couple months sooner then Porter crawled. Crazy! Kenley showed so many signs early on of being ready for baby food, so I decided to start her on baby food a couple of weeks ago, she seems to like it all right but she still loves her mommy's milk more. Kenley has traveled around the country a lot since she was born. This month she added to her list of states that she has been to which were Arizona and Florida. On Monday we go to the doctor so I will post her stats later.

Likes:
- Taking her bath with her brother. She just loves being around Porter period.
- Being tickled
- Rolling round
- Sitting up playing with toys
- Being wherever mommy is

Dislikes
- Sleeping through the night but we are making progress
- Taking a bottle
- Being left alone
-Getting her mouth wiped after eating

Porter Turns 3

Last week our big boy turned three. Seth and I have said several times how we can't believe he is three. These three years seriously have flown by. But I must say I absolutely love this stage that he is in. Porter is full of surprises everyday. He is rambunctious, playful and full of energy one minute and the next minute he is loving, cuddly and just so sweet. We are so proud of the little boy he is becoming. Even though he has decided to take his time with talking and he is a super picky eater, we are beyond blessed to have him as our son. Thank you Porter for being an absolute joy in our lives. We love you more then words can say and we look forward to what this next year brings.

Porters Boo Boo

We made it almost 3 years without a major boo boo. But last night it happened. It was crazy how it happened but he is a tough little guy and is doing fine today.

5 months old

Kenley is five months old today. She is turning into a little lady with her sweet smile, the twinkle in her eyes and her high pitch squeal she lets out when she's happy, sad, hungry, tired pretty, much all the time. We just laugh when she starts making that sound. Kenley loves her brother so much. She thinks he is just the funniest person. She lights up every time he's around. She is just about able to sit all by herself and I can tell she loves being up instead off laying down. Lately she has been staring at us every time we are eating. She even has reached out to grab our food. Its so cute. So today we gave her rice cereal for the first time. She had the funniest faces when eating but I think she loved it. She would grab my hand and pull the spoon to her mouth. I'm so glad she is showing signs of being a good eater because it has been so hard to get Porter to eat he is so picky. Kenley is a terrible sleeper I'm not going to lie. I am exhausted everyday because she wakes up multiple times a night. She also refuses to take a bottle so I'm up with her everytime. I even have fallen alseep while feeding her several times. I'm praying that things start to change here very soon because I might go insane because of sleep deprivation. But we love her so much and continue to feel extremely blessed to be her parents. I'm looking forward to this next month.

Kenley Loves:
- Mommy. We are best friends.
- Daddy and Porter of course
- Playing in her excersauser
- Being in her swing
- Being sang to especially "I am a child of god"
- Bathtime
- And now eating.

Kenley Hates:
- Being in a room alone
- Taking a bottle. That needs to change asap.
- Sleeping through the night. BOO!

My New Ride

Seth and I have been a one car family, just because we wanted to save money and get rid of some debt. The last couple of months I've been telling him that I think its time to get another car. I've been doing some searching and I narrowed done the car to an Acura MDX. Well last week Seth and I found the perfect one and it has a DVD player already installed in it and we bought it. I love it so much. Its a great car.

4 Months Old

Kenley, you turned 4 months old on Friday. Kenley you are continuing to grow up to be such a beautiful little baby girl. People are starting to say that you are looking more and more like your brother, but just so feminine. So far people say you look more like me than daddy but today I was staring at you and except for your nose that is definitely your mommy's, you looked a lot like your daddy. You haven't had any major milestones happen this month but the one thing that we have noticed is that you are becoming more and more dramatic when you are not happy. You scream this loud pitch scream and if we don't do something right then you get louder and louder. We think it's funny when you get that way. Not sure we will feel the same way when you are a teenager though. This month we took you to Disneyland and you rode on two rides: the Buzz Lightyear Ride and Pirates of the Caribbean. You were sleeping through the night until just recently. I don't know what happened but I really hope you start sleeping through the night again because mommy needs more sleep. Kenley we just love you so much and we look forward to seeing you grow and develop this next month. We love you Kenley Girl!

EA 6

I just have to brag about my hubby for a second. He was asked to speak at our businesses quarterly event in front of 3,000+ people. He was awesome. Here's his intro into his talk it's pretty funny.

Newport Beach

We also went to Newport Beach. Im not a big ocean person so I didn't get into the water at all but Porter got to play in it for a while.

Disneyland

While we were in California for Elite Academy 6 we took a day to go to Disneyland with the kids and Seth's parents. It was so much fun. Porter loved it and he tells us almost everyday that he wants to go to Disneyland. His favorite ride was the Buzz Lightyear ride. Can't wait to go back there when Kenley is older.

3 months old

Kenley is three months old. This month she has found her feet and she also rolled over from her stomach to back for the first time. She is starting to grap onto things and bring them to her mouth. She is such a happy baby. Every time we go to get her from her naps she always starts smiling a big smile and starts kicking her arms and legs. She also is starting to get tickleish and she will giggle when we tickle her. Kenley has been a little dramatic a couple of times this month. She makes this high pitched whine when she is hungry or tired. It's so cute. We feel so blessed to have Kenley as a part of our family.

Splash Park

One of Porter's favorite things to do this summer has been going to the splash park. The first time we went Porter was not so sure of the place but now he loves it.
