Christmas Break in Colorado
We are home safe and sound from another successful Christmas break in Colorado with the Gott's and Campbell's. We love Colorado so much and it gets harder and harder to leave but we are so grateful to have been able to spend good quality time with both of our families. Christmas was a blast. Porter was spoiled and had the most presents out of everyone to open. He wasn't very interested in unwrapping his gifts but he loved playing with all of them especially the play tent, vaccumm and his toy dog. Seth and I got a lot of great things too. The rest of break was spent lounging around, eating, eating and more eating. On New Years Eve, Porter stepped on a flat iron and burned his foot. I have never heard him cry like that since he was born. He was in so much pain. It hurt Seth and I so much. We just were besides ourselves because we couldn't take his pain away. Seth had the opportunity to give Porter his first father's blessing of health, peace and comfort. It was so precious, I couldn't help but cry. We were able to control his pain and he was able to fall asleep. The next morning he was back to himself for the most part but still wouldn't walk around unless we patted his foot with 2nd skin, a bandaid and a sock. We were so glad to see our happy baby boy happy again. Here are a bunch of pictures from our trip.
This was Porter's favorite thing at my parents house. He rocked himself to sleep one day. So precious.

Another one of his favorite things to do... Play the piano. Maybe he will want to learn to play it someday.
What a stud in his new suit for church.

Porter is a lucky boy! Someone needs to have another baby quick! He may start to think the world revolves around him. (oh yeah it does) He sure has everyone wrapped around his finger, especially Grandpa Campbell! He sure was handsome in his church suit. Give him kisses for us.....Love ya
Wow, it sounds like you had a great trip, minus the burned foot. He is growing up so much. I'm sorry he burned his foot. That is hard as a parent to watch your little one in pain. I'm glad the blessing worked. Your mom is looking good too. I hope all is well.
Mandy, Porter is so stinkin cute in his lil church suit! Can't wait to see you guys again!
