Kenley Piper Campbell

She's here! Our beautiful little girl joined our family on April 12th at 1:39pm. She came out weighing 5 lbs 14 oz and 19 inches long. Her birth story is very different compared to Porters. At 34 weeks I had an ultrasound and at this ultrasound they were concerned because her stomach was measuring 2 weeks behind. To make sure there were no serious problems I was sent to a specialist to get more thorough ultrasounds done. They found that she looked completely healthy, my placenta had good blood flow but she was just small. The next couple of weeks I was monitored pretty closely just to make sure she was doing ok. At my last appointment with the specialist he said she looked great and that he would allow me to get induced at 39 weeks. That made me feel ok but I wanted her to come early like her brother. Well week by week went by and nothing happened. I was so frustrated. I tried lots of things to try to get her to come early but she just stayed put. It really was hard and I had a day where I felt like I just couldn't do it anymore. I got a very nice blessing from my dad and Seth and that really helped me to get through the last week until my induction.

I was scheduled to be at the hospital at 6am. I could hardly sleep that night, I just couldn't believe I was going to be having my baby girl that day. I had Seth stay home and get Porter up and fed and off to our friends house, while my mom took me to the hospital. Around 7:30am my doctor came in and broke my water to see if my body would go into labor itself or if it was going to need pitocin. I was hoping I wouldn't have to get pitocin. I started getting contractions but they were not very strong and not consistent. Around 8:30am they started me on pitocin, it took about 30 mins until I was having contractions every 2-3 mins. The contractions were terrible. I had a constant contraction in my back that made me very uncomfortable no matter what position I was in. I lasted 4 hours and just couldn't do it anymore. I got my epidural and was fully dialated a little while later. I pushed for a couple of minutes and my baby girl was born. It was such an overwhelming experience. I can't believe I am a mom of two but I am so grateful that Heavenly Father has trusted me enough to be the mom of these two precious children. Here are some pictures of our baby girls birthday.

She is beautiful. I feel your pain on not being able to stand being pregnant another day. That is totally how I felt with Anabelle. Pitosin is rough. Way to go. You lasted a lot longer than I ever could have, but then again, I get that epidural as soon as I can. I don't like pain. You are such a great mom. That little girl is in such good hands.

Congratulations! She's beautiful. You're family is sooo cute. We're getting older and it's crazy to think we're old enough to have kids sometimes. :)
