Elite Academy III and Summer So Far...

Seth, Porter and I just got home from a three week trip that was full of meetings, eating, hanging out with friends, swimming, rating, driving to different states and more eating. I really didn't want to come back to KC MO but we are back and trying to stay cool from this awful humidity. Here are a ton of pictures from the last three weeks.

Porter played so hard everyday while we were in Colorado. He was exhausted by the end of the day.

The second week was spent in Utah where I got to meet my new nephew Kingston and we also attended Elite Academy III. It was an awesome trip and one of the most memorable things was seeing my hubby talk in front of over 1,000 people. What an inspiration he was to those who got the opportunity to listen to him.

Our last day in SLC we went to temple square. I love that place not only because of the sweet spirit I feel while I'm there, but also because Seth proposed to me at the reflection pool. It was cool to be able to be there again now with our son. The pictures of us by the reflection pool is the exact place where he asked me to marry him.

Happy Father's Day

I just wanted to express my love for 3 fathers in my life. First off my dad and one of the greatest people in my life. I feel so lucky to have him as a dad. One of our favorite things to do growing up is dance in the kitchen. He would grab all of his daughters one by one and slow dance with us in the kitchen. He says he was practicing for our wedding. I know it was a little rough for him when I got married but he still is a saint in my life. I think he is the greatest. Everyone loves my dad. There is never a time I go out with him where people are not running up to him and saying hi and giving him a hug. He knows how to talk to people and make them feel comfortable and loved. He has a gift of teaching, no woder he became a teacher. He is always "Teacher of the Year" in my eyes. I will forever look to his council because he has so much wisdom and insight. I know that he has touched the lives of so many people because he has touched mine. I love my papa bear and I think he is the greatest dad.

The second dad I want to share about is my father-in-law. He has welcomed me in his family wholeheartedly. He is a great father and grandfather. Skip has a passion and concern to help people. He has an infectous personality and he is very admired by many especially by Seth. I really am very lucky to have a father in law like him.

Last but not least my sweet husband and father of my child. I really can't put into words the love I have for this man. He is the best father that I could ever ask for for my child. Seth had the chance to be a stay at home dad for about 6 month and him and Porter developed the cutest little bond. I would come home and the house would be torn apart from all the playing they did. I'm so glad that Seth was able to be home with Porter when I was at work. One of his favorite things to do is talk about Porter and our future kids. He is working so hard to give us the opportunity to be together as a family and to raise our kids together. I really can't thank him enough for all he does. Porter is so lucky to have Seth as his dad. Porter's favorite word is daddy and I have no reason to wonder why. We love our daddy and dedicate this day to you.

Catching Up

A couple of weeks ago while Seth's dad was in town we all made the three and a half hour trip over to St. Louis for a meeting. While we were there we went to Chuck E Cheese to give Porter a chance to experiece "where a kid can be a kid." He loved it. Here are some of the pictures from that day.

Easter Weekend

This past weekend was such a great weekend with Seth's parents. On Friday we spent the day getting ready for our big Lifevantage meeting. It was awesome. My super father-in-law Skip rocked it out with a killer meeting and there was a packed room. Speaking of Lifevantage, Seth and I are now a pro 6 in the company. It's a great honor for us and Seth worked so hard to get us there. I'm so proud of him and how hard he is working. Saturday was spent watching as much conference as Porter would allow us. Seth has been telling me for a while how we should go eat at Steak and Shake, so for lunch we went there and it was pretty darn good. Porter loved his meal that we got him. I think we will have to go back there soon. For dinner we went to our friend's Lio and Becky's house and Lio made his famous teriyaki steak and chicken. It was awesome. To finish off the day my mother-in-law Jill and I went to Kohls and spent some money on Seth and Porter. I love shopping for them. Easter Sunday went well. I made my first Easter meal and it turned out pretty good. Before Skip and Jill left we took Porter to his new favorite place, the park. Porter loved it. All in all it was a fabulous weekend. Thanks for making it so great Jill and Skip. We love you and will see you soon.

Carrie's Baby Shower/ Porter is 18 months Old

This is a late post but that's pretty much how things are going for us right now. We've been so busy with my work and our business its just so hard sometimes to sit down and update our blog. But I made it back to our blog and here we go with the update. During spring break we headed out to CO for a visit and my SIS Carrie's baby shower. Seth was there for a day and then he flew to California for business. Porter and I had a lot of fun visiting with everyone. Carrie's baby shower went well. Lots of people came and she and Kingston got very spoiled. I definitely am getting baby hungry. I think Seth and I have some work to do lol.

On another note Porter turns 18 months tomorrow. I can not believe he is that old. It makes me so sad to think that my little boy is growing up that fast. He is just the greatest little blessing in our lives. He has the best personality and is so close to talking. I'm really looking forward to that stage. We love our little tiny and look forward to the next 6 months before he turns TWO.

Elite Academy II

This post is a little late but that's ok. Seth, Porter and I went to Salt Lake City for our corporate event for the company Lifevantage that we are apart of. We had so much fun and we were so inspired by the stories and successes that the people in the company are having. I don't know who reads our blog but here is a link to a nine minute video watch it, it is changing our life in more than one way. It could change yours too.www.lifevantage.com/truetv.aspx?videoid=1001. Here are some pictures from our trip.

The Kissing Game and Nauvoo

Porter loves to give out kisses especially to his doggy Lennix. One of his favorite things to do is to kiss us through our stair railing. He thinks its so funny and he just laughs and laughs. He also has the cutest laugh ever.

Two weekends ago Seth and I made the four hour treck up to Nauvoo to see our good friends Clint and Stasia get sealed together and to their kids in the temple. What a wonderful time for their family. The spirit was so strong in the temple. We spent a a little bit of time looking at the sights but we had to rush so we could get back to our boy. Here are some of the pictures we took.

Two of my heros.

The beautiful Nauvoo Temple

This ones for my mom. She shares a street with her favorite missionary

This house was in the most random place. But it is seriously the biggest house I have ever seen.
