Kenley Piper Campbell

She's here! Our beautiful little girl joined our family on April 12th at 1:39pm. She came out weighing 5 lbs 14 oz and 19 inches long. Her birth story is very different compared to Porters. At 34 weeks I had an ultrasound and at this ultrasound they were concerned because her stomach was measuring 2 weeks behind. To make sure there were no serious problems I was sent to a specialist to get more thorough ultrasounds done. They found that she looked completely healthy, my placenta had good blood flow but she was just small. The next couple of weeks I was monitored pretty closely just to make sure she was doing ok. At my last appointment with the specialist he said she looked great and that he would allow me to get induced at 39 weeks. That made me feel ok but I wanted her to come early like her brother. Well week by week went by and nothing happened. I was so frustrated. I tried lots of things to try to get her to come early but she just stayed put. It really was hard and I had a day where I felt like I just couldn't do it anymore. I got a very nice blessing from my dad and Seth and that really helped me to get through the last week until my induction.

I was scheduled to be at the hospital at 6am. I could hardly sleep that night, I just couldn't believe I was going to be having my baby girl that day. I had Seth stay home and get Porter up and fed and off to our friends house, while my mom took me to the hospital. Around 7:30am my doctor came in and broke my water to see if my body would go into labor itself or if it was going to need pitocin. I was hoping I wouldn't have to get pitocin. I started getting contractions but they were not very strong and not consistent. Around 8:30am they started me on pitocin, it took about 30 mins until I was having contractions every 2-3 mins. The contractions were terrible. I had a constant contraction in my back that made me very uncomfortable no matter what position I was in. I lasted 4 hours and just couldn't do it anymore. I got my epidural and was fully dialated a little while later. I pushed for a couple of minutes and my baby girl was born. It was such an overwhelming experience. I can't believe I am a mom of two but I am so grateful that Heavenly Father has trusted me enough to be the mom of these two precious children. Here are some pictures of our baby girls birthday.

Getting Caught Up

We finally got a new computer today so I can finally update the blog. Oh and by the way I love our new computer. We got a MAC Book Pro. It is awesome and I know that it is going to be so much more reliable than any of the other PC's we have had.

Elite Academy San Diego
In January we went to San Diego for our companies corporate event. It was awesome and Seth got to speak on the Elite panel with the other newly qualified Pro 7's. He did an awesome job. I'm just so proud of him.

Kylie's Wedding
My little sister got married on Feb. 19th. in the Oakland Temple. It was a crazy week for me. On Monday I started having contractions and I had to go into the hospital where they kept me over night to get the contractions to stop. The doctors told me that they didn't think I would be able to travel to California for the wedding because I had to get tests done before than. Well to make a long story short. After canceling our tickets and then having to rebook them for twice the money, Porter and I were on the plane to Kylie's wedding without Seth. However, Seth ended up surprising us out in California. It was a great weekend.

After my sisters wedding we went up to San Fran with Seth's parents for a little sight seeing. We had a lot of fun as a family at the pier.

Christmas 2010

As usual I am a little behind on our Christmas post, this is not to say that it was not a great Christmas. In fact I think it was one of the best Christmases. Seth, Porter and I made a trip up to the mountains the Wednesday before Christmas where my family had rented a vacation home for the holiday. It was so beautiful up there and we just had so much fun talking, playing games, eating and some people went skiing twice. On Christmas eve day we drove back down to Denver and had our first Christmas with Seth's family. It was so awesome to see Porter get so into opening up all of his gifts and loving all of them. He got a new tramp which is still in the living room, a buzz lightyear 4 wheeler, clothes, puzzles and a whole bunch of other stuff from Seth's parents. After dinner we made the drive back up to the mountains and finished the rest of our Christmas break up there. Christmas day was again a success. Porter was very spoiled along with all the other grandbabies. Can't wait for Christmas next year. I'm hoping to have Christmas on the beach somewhere.

For Me

This post is mainly for me because this blog is like my journal but on November 23rd we found out that we are having a little GIRL. We are so excited to be having a little girl. Most of our families were predicting a boy again but I secretly, ok maybe not so secretly was hoping for a girl. I cried like a baby and Seth just had the biggest smile when the tech gave us the results. We are so excited to meet our little girl in 4 months.
